Gerhardus Lotter

The son of Johannes Casparus Lotter (1737) and Johanna Catharina van Kerken, baptised at the Cape on 18 November 1764. Married Susanna Johanna Esterhuyzen on 24 August 1794. His widow is listed in the directory for 1825.
A Cape silver sugar bowl, Gerhardus Lotter, c.1810-1824 ovoid body, the borders engraved with a band of swags and wrigglework, the sides applied with a pair of ring-handles, the cover with ball-and-leaf finial, raised on a pedestal, square-shaped base, 405g,16cm high.
