August Christoffel Schlosser
Active 1811- 1840.
The son of Carl Christian Schlosser and Engela Harms. Married Barbara Christina Thiele on the 14th of June 1795. Recorded working at 41 Breede Street in 1811, 37 Breede Street in 1812 and 18 Dorp Street from 1834 to 1840.
A Cape silver two-handled sugar basin and cover, August Christoffel Schlosser, c.1811-1840 the tapering oval body engraved with a band of leaves, the sides applied with c-scroll handles, detachable cover surmounted by a finial, the rim with wrigglework border, the cover and base similarly engraved, 470g, height: 12,5cm.
