Johannes Marthinus Lotter

The son of Willem Godfried Lotter (1748) and Wilhelmina Margaretha Wentzel. Baptized at the Cape on 23 December 1798.
A Cape silver snuff box, Johannes Marthinus Lotter, c.1844-1879 rectangular, moulded with reeded bands, curved hinged cover with a foliate thumbpiece, the centre applied with a plaque engraved with initials ‘FJMK’, gilt interior, 100g,8cm wide.
