Johannes Combrink

The son of Jan (Johannes) Combrink and Johanna Elizabeth Essler, baptised at the Cape on 3 June 1781. Married Aurelia Wilhelmina Lotter on 5 April 1807. Died 9 November 1853.
A Cape silver snuff box, Johannes Combrink, c.1814-1853, octagonal, the hinged cover with shield-shaped cartouche indistinctly engraved with ‘MEJ’, wrigglework engraving throughout, gilt interior, interior engraved with ‘SCC’, 75g, width: 6,3cm.
